High Water Cooler Quality
A double block activated carbon filter and an 11 watt UV lamp to destroy harmful bacteria. To find out how this technology works to provide you with ultra pure drinking water read below
How Our Water Cooler works with the UV light and Carbon Block Filter
This Water Coolers are equipped with carbon filtration and UV lamps to ensure superior water purification so you can be confident that the water you drink is fresh, clean and pure.
How Activated Carbon Filters Work
Activated Carbon filters work by using activated carbon to remove contaminants and impurities, via a process called adsorption. Adsorption is the process by which liquid or gaseous molecules attach to the carbon by chemical attraction. Activated charcoal has a huge surface area which maximises its ability to filter a wide range of contaminants.
Active Carbon filtering is very effective in removing chlorine, sediment and volatile organic compound, without absorbing beneficial molecules such as sodium nitrates and fluoride.
How Ultra Violet Light Water Treatment Works
Ultra violet light is electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation map - the spectrum - is characterized by the wavelength of each wave in its group.
Low pressure Mercury lamps produce 85 percent of their power in a wavelength very close to 260nm. Wavelengths measuring between 200-300 nm are deadly for live creatures. This attribute makes them efficient in purifying water and other materials, so that micro-organisms are removed.
UV light is capable of killing micro-organisms such as bacteria, viruses, molds, algae, yeast, and oocysts like cryptosporidium and giardia. UV water treatment offers many advantages over other forms of water treatment for microbiological contaminants.
Most importantly, it does not introduce any chemicals to the water, it produces no bi-products, and it does not alter the taste, pH, or other properties of the water. When used in conjunction - Activated Carbon filtering and UV light treatment provides a cost effective and efficient means of ensuring that water is clean and safe to drink.
